I was able to attend the grand opening of Wild Child Arts in Monroe, GA last night. We showed up a little after seven, and the place was already packed. Our hostess, Rose Handy was very gracious and helpful explaining what they offer, including classes and facilities for pottery, glass working, fritography, etching, jewelry making, drawing, painting, wood turning, and others to numerous to mention. There was also a nice exhibit focusing on horses with some breathtaking paintings, pottery and photography.
If you are ever in the Monroe, GA area, I recommend stopping by Wild Child Arts.

We had a great time at ArtTrax 2008. After a few showers in the morning, the sun came out, as did many people from the North Georgia area. Gina Rutledge and I made several new friends and reconnected with some old ones.
Terry Scopelliti and I became reacquainted at ArtTrax after many years. Terry and I were in Art Club together at Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach, VA. This picture was taken at one of our Art Club parties in the 1977-1978 school year. At the time, I was a senior and Terry was a sophomore. Terry is a photographer now living in the Winder, GA area.
ArtTrax was a wonderful experience. The people of Hoschton really made us feel at home. My husband Billy especially enjoyed the local cuisine at "Little Hooties".
